With both Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald to worry about, defenses were forced to pick their poison because they couldn't double team both guys on every play, which often created favorable one-on-one matchups.
Boldin was slowed by injury during the postseason and missed the divisional win over the Carolina Panthers. In the other two playoff games he played, he caught six passes for 106 yards and one touchdown, which obviously doesn't stack up against his regular-season success. But he rebounded somewhat in Super Bowl XLIII to record eight catches for 84 yards.
