Having won at least 12 games in each of the previous five seasons, the Indianapolis Colts have become accustomed to success... especially early in the season. But 2008 got off to a rough start based on the lofty standards set by their recent success. In fact, they lost four out of their first seven games while the division-rival Tennessee Titans were busy winning their first ten and building an insurmountable lead in the standings. It seemed the Colts streak of playoff appearance was in serious jeopardy.
But Indianapolis caught fire in November and December, winning their next eight in a row (through week 16.) Their winning streak allowed them to lock up a wild-card berth in the playoffs, but by the time they had righted the ship, Tennessee was simply too far out in front.
Because of their slow start and position as just the fifth seed in the AFC playoffs, the Colts are slipping in a little under the radar this year. But make no mistake about it; they won't be an easy draw for any team.
