With the Dolphins coming off a pathetic 1-15 season and the division-rival New England Patriots posting a perfect 16-0 during the regular season, no one in their right mind gave Miami a chance to win their division heading into the 2008 season. But new leadership in the form of executive vice president Bill Parcells and head coach Tony Sparano, along with heavy turnover on the roster, paid immediate dividends.
The numbers illustrating Miami's resurgence are almost staggering. At 11-5, the team improved by ten games over their 2007 record and gained an unprecedented 15 games in the standings. It just doesn't get much more extreme than that. The question now is, can they continue their run in the postseason?
