There's probably not another quarterback in the NFL that has been as deep into the playoffs as many times yet is criticized as much as Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. But the reality is he did throw for nearly 4,000 yards in 2008 with 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing more than 60% of his passes. He also posted a respectable 86.4 passer rating, which is equal to that of Eli Manning and more than the ratings of Jay Cutler, Jake DelHomme, and Ben Roethisberger. Funny thing is, though, those other guys don't seem to face the criticism McNabb does.
The veteran QB does have his issues with accuracy from time to time, and there are some questions about his leadership skills. But, at worst, he's certainly a better option than half the starting quarterbacks in the league and has proven he can take a team deep into the playoffs.
