The fact that they not only made it to Super Bowl XLV, but won it, is a testament to the job general manager Ted Thompson has done at identifying talent and building a deep roster. Give head coach Mike McCarthy a ton of credit as well for developing that talent and keeping his squad confident as critical components like running back Ryan Grant, tight end Jermichael Finley, and linebacker Nick Barnett were lost for the season.
The way the Packers bounced back from adversity all season, it's fitting that in a season marked by such an inordinate amount of injuries to key players, they would overcome the loss of veteran cornerback Charles Woodson in the first half of the Super Bowl to come away with a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
