Desmond Bishop was little more than a special teams player entering the 2010 season, but when inside linebacker Nick Barnett suffered a season-ending wrist injury in a week 5 contest, Bishop was suddenly pushed into the starting lineup. He started the rest of the way out for the Green Bay Packers, finishing second on the team with 121 tackles. He also recorded two forced fumbles, nine pass breakups, three sacks, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
During Super Bowl XLV, Bishop had eight tackles -- including a game-high three tackles for loss -- and a key fumble recovery on Pittsburgh's first play of the fourth quarter that shifted the momentum of the game and led to a Green Bay touchdown that opened up a two-score lead.
