Defensive end Julius Peppers received a lot of criticism following a 2007 season in which he recorded just 2.5 sacks despite being billed as one of the more talented defensive linemen in the league. He responded in 2008, however, with one of the best seasons of his career, recording 51 tackles, five forced fumbles, and a career high 14.5 sacks.
