As mentioned, the St. Louis Rams are without long-time starting left tackle Orlando Pace for the first time in more than a decade. They will also be without a former fixture at wide receiver in Torry Holt, who was with the team for ten years. Although he is 33-years old, he can still play the game, but obviously his time is limited.
Faced with the prospects of a major rebuilding, the Rams front office decided to look to their youth at the position, and they have very high expectations for second-year player Donnie Avery, who put up 674 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie. Behind him, though, things get a little more blurry.
And that's where Holt's experience will be missed.
