Key Player: Matt Hasselbeck
Posting a career high in touchdown passes and passing yards, Hasselbeck had a very solid regular season, and was key during a five-game winning streak down the stretch that locked up the NFC West. He'll need to continue distributing the ball efficiently during the postseason, however, if the team hopes to make a deep run.
Hasselbeck is 3-4 lifetime in playoff action, with two of his losses coming in overtime. He also helped the Seahawks advance to the Super Bowl just two years ago.

Over the second half of the season, Kerney came on strong, especially late in games, which is a testament to his tremendous conditioning. His consistent ability to pressure the quarterback has been of the utmost importance to the defensive unit as a whole, and particularly the secondary.
Against the offenses the Seahawks will face in the playoffs, which could include those of Dallas or perhaps Green Bay, his dominance must continue. If Seattle hopes to make a run, they are going to have to keep opposing quarterbacks, like Brett Favre and Tony Romo, as uncomfortable as possible.

Outlook:
Midway through the 2007 season, I wouldn't have given this team a chance to compete with the big boys in the NFC, but a second-half rally leaves room for more optimism at this point. There's no reason this team can't compete with the Cowboys and Packers. After all, they are just two years removed from a Super Bowl appearance of their own. The problem is they will have to go on the road to face either Dallas or Green Bay, and knocking off either at home will be a tall order.
