Pittsburgh Steelers

A Few Questions? (pg.2)

From Tiger Rowan, Pittsburgh Steelers Correspondent, About.com Guest

Dallas possesses all of the momentum, but that is almost switched on their first possession of the second half. Instead of Russell Stuvaints returning an interception for a touchdown, Dallas kicks another field goal. That is a ten point difference in Dallas' favor; the Cowboys dodged a bullet there. Meanwhile, Scott is reportedly out for the remainder of the game.
Question: Did us Steelers fans, who have been riding Scott all season, just get what we wanted? Or, did we get what we deserved?

The Steelers responded by having a first-down run negated by a holding penalty. Then, amidst heavy pressure, Roethlisberger just misses a wide open Plaxico Burress. Instead of six points, the Steelers are forced to punt. Two passes later, the Cowboys cover 68 yards and score another touchdown.
Question: What is the height, weight, and speed of Corey Webster?

Just as everything looked its worst, Ben breaks away from the pressure, and lobs the football underhand to his tight end, mere seconds before being tackled by Dallas linemen. Instead of a sack, the Steelers got a first down. Six plays later, Ben is 7-for-7 with another touchdown pass.
Question: Is it just me, or is the momentum switching sides?

For the Steelers defense, Dallas' next possession was amazing. On first down, Glenn landed with his back-side out of bounds for no catch. On second down, Lebeau calls a perfectly timed blitz, and Foote responds with a sack. Then, on third down, Polamalu makes a sure tackle to force a punt.
Question: Is it too early to use the words "Blitzburgh" or "Steel Curtain"?

The Steelers clearly have the momentum, and are driving on Dallas. Staley, right side, nine yards. Staley, up the middle, six yards. Then, Ward is called for holding Roy Williams, which negates a 26-yard run by Staley. Instead of first down on the Dallas 24-yard line, the Steelers have first-and-20 on their own 40-yard line. The Steelers never recover and are forced to punt.
Question: Where did Roy Williams take those acting lessons? They are really good.

Just as most sports-writers were crediting the Cowboys with a win, Kimo von Oelhoffen recovers a Testaverde fumble.
Question: Was I the only person who swore they heard Al Michaels saying, "Do you believe in miracles!?!" during that play?

Roethlisberger is 4-for-4 on this drive. After chewing up a good portion of the clock, Bettis scores the game-winning touchdown.
Question: How good will this offense be once Roethlisberger fully develops?

The only negative coming out of this game were the injuries, especially the knee injury of Casey Hampton. As I said in an article earlier this year, when Maddox went down the offense stepped up to fill the void.
Question: Might the defense do the same in Hampton's absence? Might Hope hit just a little bit harder? Might Porter rush just a little bit faster? Might Townsend play closer coverage?

There are a lot of questions surrounding the Steelers, but fortunately, they have a bye-week to answer them. Speaking of bye-weeks...
Question: Will I be the only Steeler fan going through withdrawal for the next 14 days?
