Rookie Chris Johnson got the bulk of the carries for the Tennessee Titans in 2008, and rightfully so. He was perhaps the most explosive offensive player on the roster. But Big LenDale White played a key role as well as a change of pace option in the running game. His bruising style was a nice complement to the quicker, slashing style of Johnson.
Between the two, the Titans were able to consistently control the ball while also controlling the clock. Which allowed their potent defense to be even more effective because they were generally well rested.
