Name of stadium:Lambeau Field
Date of visit:January 12, 2008 (most recent)
Location:Green Bay, Wisconsin
It has been said many times by many people, but it is true: Every NFL fan should experience a game at Lambeau Field. I've been there four times now (twice pre-renovation, twice post-renovation) and it is simply incredible. The Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame is at the stadium, giving you plenty to do before the game (as if all the tailgating wouldn't keep you occupied!), and the food and drink stands are terrific, as is Curly's Pub.
Parking is easy either on site or on the lawn of one of the many neighbors who charge very reasonable fees. The views are spectacular, no matter where you sit. And the atmosphere is truly one of a kind.
The fans at Lambeau Field are terrific -- I have been to about a dozen other NFL stadiums, and the Lambeau fans take the game seriously, but never too seriously. They are friendly to out-of-town visitors (no matter what team you root for), and they are the real reason that seeing a game at Lambeau is the best NFL experience possible.
There is plenty of tailgating before every game at Lambeau Field, and the people who do it are usually very willing to share with anyone walking past.
A very good selection of stadium food, and there is a full restaurant (Curly's Pub) in the stadium as well.
The fans are great -- even when the Vikings are in town!
