Strengths:

The Colts have the league's best passing attack and are ranked third overall on offense. Defensively, they are among the better teams at containing the pass, giving up just 175 yards per game through the air. They also have one of the best field goal kickers in the game in Mike Vaderjagt, who set a record in the regular season finale by connecting on his 41st consecutive field goal attempt.

Weaknesses:

The rushing offense has been inconsistent at times, while the defense has struggled to stop opposing ground games. Running back Edgerrin James and the offensive line have turned it up a notch near the end of the season, but they cannot afford to be shut down in the playoffs.

Overview:

The Colts are going to have to do a much better job stopping the run during the playoffs. Opposing teams are going to do their best to keep the ball out of Peyton Manning's hands, so the defensive line is going to get tested early and often. If they are forced to bring safety Mike Doss up into the box, it will open up the secondary to a vertical passing attack.
Overall, the Colts have a great offense and a more than adequate defense to go deep into the playoffs, but their run defense concerns me against teams like Denver and Baltimore. If they can tighten things up on the line, they could represent the AFC in this year's Super Bowl. If they allow teams to rip them up on the ground, their playoff run will be a short one once again.
