"About Football Glossary - Coin Toss"

Definition: Before the start of the game, the captain of the visiting team calls heads or tails of a coin flipped by the referee.
Examples: The team that wins the coin toss has the choice of kicking off or receiving the kick. The losing team chooses which goal they would like to defend.
