The Jags could definitely use help in a number of areas, but Winslow is a freak. His athletic prowess and suction cup hands make him an offensive coordinators dream. He will help fill the tight end position in Jacksonville quite nicely
10. Houston- DT- Tommie Harris- Oklahoma
Harris slips due to his lack of size. At 280, he lacks the bulk of a typical thoroughbred defensive tackle and is not fast enough to be considered an elite defensive end prospect. That said, Harris is a gamer, plain and simple. Houston will be ecstatic landing a player that they can easily implement into their system, as well as a player whose motor never stops and knows how to be a playmaker.
11. San Diego- DE- Will Smith- Ohio State
San Diego needs help in a lot of areas, with the defensive line being one of the main areas of concern. After trading down, they find themselves left with the option of picking up the top rated pass rusher in this draft in Smith. While Wiley has played decently, he hasnt lived up to his contract that he signed a couple years ago. Smith would be, simply put, a steal here for the Chargers.
12. NY Jets- WR- Reggie Williams- Washington
The Jets have really missed the playmaking abilities of Coles this year, but landing the other Williams at this point in the draft is a coup. He reminds me of Andre Johnson who was the No.3 overall pick in last year's draft. His size makes him a tough matchup for any corner to cover, and with Pennington throwing to him, look out.
13. Buffalo- TE- Ben Troupe- Florida
Buffalos offense this year was atrocious. With many key players up for free agency this year, this is a tough pick. But Troupe is a stud who is a proven playmaker. If Mcgahee can return to form, and Bledsoe can play like the all pro that he should be, than Buffalo might be a contender next year.
New England trades 21st, 30th, and 62nd pick overall to Chicago for the 14th, 78th, 4th round and 6th round picks.
14.New England- RB- Stephen Jackson- Oregon State
New England pays a steep price, but they desperately want to fill their only glaring hole. By drafting Jackson they do just that. He has the ability run inside or outside and can catch the ball quite well. His versatility is reminiscent of Priest Holmes, and if he is anywhere near as good as the Priest, then New England will have added a whole new dimension to the best team in football.
15. Tampa Bay- OT- Nat Dorsey- Georgia Tech
Tampa Bay is at a crossroads right now. They have the talent to compete for a championship, yet this year they played with a lack of discipline that cost them many games. Kenyatta Walker has been a big disappointment since he was taken in the first round a couple years ago and is the culprit of many missed assignments and penalties. Taking Dorsey here might seem like a bit of a reach, but he has shown the ability to be a franchise left tackle. Not to mention that he has already proven that he can dominate Julius Peppers, whom the Bucs will see twice a year, having shut him down when he was only a freshman.
16. San Francisco - WR- Michael Clayton- LSU
I think that eventually Terrell Owens will remain a Niner. However there is a good chance that Tai Streets will be gone next year, and if he is, then that will leave only Owens and the suprising Brandon Lloyd as proven playmakers. Lloyd will be an excellent possession receiver, however they could still use another weapon there. Clayton is an excellent player with good size and good hands who could take the pressure off of Owens to be the man.
