Kellen Winslow

By James Alder, About.com

Position:

Tight End

School: Miami (Fla)

Status: Junior

Height:

6-4

Weight:

245

40-Yard Dash:

Positives:

Kellen Winslow is a tremendous receiving tight end. He has great hands (makes the spectacular catch look routine) and is blessed with the speed and agility of a wide receiver. His size and athleticism creates a match-up nightmare for defensive coordinators. He's too fast to be covered by a linebacker and he's too strong to be handled by a defensive back.

Negatives:

As great of a talent as Winslow is, he does not possess the size to be an effective blocker on the line at the next level. He will be used mostly as a receiving tight end in the NFL.

Projection:

Kellen Winslow is by far the most talented tight end available, and should be a top-15 selection in the 2004 NFL Draft.
