Ingredients:
1 pound mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
3 eggs
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
vegetable oil (for frying)
Italian tomato sauce
Makes:
24 sticks
Directions:
Beat eggs in a bowl. Dip the cheese sticks in eggs, roll in flour, and dip in egg again. Dip into Italian bread crumbs. Place on waxed paper and place in refrigerator for 1 hour. In a large saucepan heat oil to 375 F. Fry chilled cheese sticks in hot oil until crispy. Place on paper towels to drain grease.
Serve with warm Italian tomato sauce as dip.
