LaDainian Tomlinson carried the ball a whopping 39 times for 153 yards, including a 19-yarder for the winning touchdown with 11:22 left in overtime, giving the Chargers a 27-21 victory over division rival Oakland. Rich Gannon recorded his fifth straight game with more than 320 passing yards, completing 35-of-45 for 361 yards and three second-half touchdowns.

Aaron Brooks completed 23-of-35 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns, and scored on a 1-yard run with 1:56 left to seal the victory. Saints running back Deuce McAllister, who leads the NFC in rushing, had 139 yards on 21 carries.

Marshall Faulk ran for 183 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Rams reached the 30-point mark for the first time this season. Marc Bulger completed 22-of-40 passes for 265 yards and one interception, while his counterpart Trent Dilfer struggled to go just 8-of-25.

Chad Pennington had a career day against a porous Minnesota secondary, completing 24-of-29 passes for 324 yards to lead the Jets past the Vikings, 20-7. New York's defense forced four turnovers, including two that ended drives deep in Jets territory.

Ray Lucas threw four interceptions, made poor exchanges on a pair of handoffs that resulted in fumbles, and finished just 13-for-33 for 165 yards. Buffalo cornerback Nate Clements was on the receiving end of three of the interceptions, and returned one 29 yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter, giving the Bills the lead for good at 17-10.

Denver linebacker Keith Burns blocked a punt in overtime, and a pass interference penalty on cornerback Eric Warfield helped set up a 25-yard field goal by Jason Elam as the Broncos rallied for a 37-34 victory over the Chiefs. Quarterback Brian Griese had a big day, passing for a career-high 376 yards and two touchdowns.

James Stewart ran for a career-high 172 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries, and Jason Hanson's 48-yard field goal with 10:18 left in overtime gave Detroit a 23-20 win over the Chicago Bears, who have now lost four straight. Detroit quarterback Joey Harrington completed 16-of-30 passes for 199 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Mark Brunell completed 24-of-46 passes for 231 yards, but he was picked off three times, two of which led to Baltimore scores. The third ended the Jaguars' bid to send the game into overtime. Baltimore tight end Todd Heap caught a pair of touchdown passes and Jamal Lewis rushed for 119 yards on 28 carries.

Quarterback Michael Vick completed 16-of-22 passes for 178 yards, ran six times for 91 yards and picked up 28 yards receiving as the Falcons dominated the Panthers. Carolina, playing without No. 1 quarterback Rodney Peete, didn't cross midfield until late in the third quarter and didn't threaten to score until the final minute.

Tim Couch completed 21-of-31 passes for 146 yards, including a go-ahead 25-yard touchdown pass to Quincy Morgan in the third quarter. Texans rookie David Carr was sacked nine times by the Browns relentless pass rush, yet he still managed to complete 22-of-36 passes for 268 yards and a touchdown. Carr has now been sacked 40 times in just six games.

Brett Favre, who started for the 164th consecutive time Sunday, sprained his left knee when he was sacked by LaVar Arrington, and was carted off the sideline and did not return. At the time, he was 11-for-14 for 89 yards and the Packers possessed a 17-6 lead. Doug Pederson kept the Packers rolling, directing three scoring drives to stretch it to a 30-9 victory.

After missing field-goal attempts from 28 and 51 yards in the final minutes of regulation, Bill Gramatica kicked a 40-yarder with 3:10 left in overtime to give Arizona a 9-6 victory over the Cowboys. Emmitt Smith gained 82 yards on 22 carries, leaving him just 92 yards short of Walter Payton's career rushing record.

Duce Staley carried a season-high 24 times for 152 yards, including 116 yards in the second half, as the eagles ground out a 20-10 victory over the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay once again failed to reach the end zone on offense, getting their only touchdown on linebacker Derrick Brooks ' 11-yard fumble return in the first quarter. It was the fourth touchdown of the year by Brooks.
