Super Bowl XLVI - The New York Giants finished with a 9–7 record and didn't go to the playoffs.
Super Bowl XLVII - The Baltimore Ravens failed to make the playoffs, going just 8-8.
Super Bowl XLVIII - The Seattle Seahawks advanced to the NFC championship game after winning the NFC West with a record of 12-4.
Super Bowl XLIX - The New England Patriots advanced to the AFC championship after winning the AFC East with a 12-4 record. They lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos.
Super Bowl L - The Denver Broncos went 9-7 and failed to make the playoffs.
Super Bowl LI - The New England Patriots won the AFC East with a 13-3 record. They advanced all the way to the Super Bowl, where they were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Super Bowl LII - The Philadelphia Eagles finished second in the NFC East with a 9-7 record and squeaked into the playoffs with a wild card berth. They lost in the Divisional round to the New Orleans Saints.
Super Bowl LIII - The New England Patriots finished with a 12-4 record and won the AFC East. They were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, losing to the Tennessee Titans.
