Football First Aid Kits

Coaches Should Inspect First Aid Kits as Part of Game Preparation

It is important for football coaches to have a properly stocked first aid kit available at all practices and games.

Emergency Medical Cards

Prior to the first practice, require all parents/guardians to submit a completed card. Information includes primary and secondary emergency contact names and telephone numbers, as well as listing any special medication such as an inhaler for asthma, insulin for diabetes, EpiPen for allergic reactions, etc. The parents/guardians are responsible for maintaining such medication. Keep the medical cards where they are immediately accessible.

Ice Cooler

Ice needs to be available immediately for minor injuries. Make sure to stock plastic bags.

Medical Kit Contents

  • Adhesive bandages
  • Alcohol wipes
