One of your guys just hit the injured list? Were you depending on Joe Horn or Bobby Engram? If you were, here's a few guys who look good for this coming week and would be a good fill in for byes or injuries.
Peter Warrick, WR, Seahawks
I know Warrick broke many hearts last year as he went from up and comer to really bad investment. He's back from injury, and he won't be stealing any coats from nearby department stores. Darrell Jackson will be out, so that makes two Seahawks receivers under the weather. Jurevicius may catch a touchdown, but Warrick is a nice pick up and start for this week.
David Carr, QB, Texans
I'm not crazy about Carr as general rule. He doesn't have a good offensive line, and Andre Johnson has been a big fat zero in terms of fantasy production. However, when a team faces Tennessee, the QB will have a big day. It doesn't matter if he passes to Domanick Davis or Jabar Gaffney, Carr will have a two touchdown day.
Keary Colbert, WR, Panthers
I gave up on Colbert in a couple of leagues as a permanent fixture, but with so many byes, he's worth a look. Steve Smith was so explosive in the first two weeks of the season, defenses have to double team him. Colbert should be the beneficiary.
Marty Booker, WR, Dolphins
Booker has struggled since Week One, but he should have a nice game versus the Buffalo secondary. As an owner of the Bills D, I've been shocked and horrified at their overall lack of defensive production and shut down capability. Ronnie Brown, Chris Chambers, and Booker should have nice days versus the Bills.
Cedric Benson, RB, Bears
If owners in your league have given up on the rookie who signed late, grab him. The Bears' future is Benson. He will get at least ten carries this week, spelling Thomas Jones. As the season wears on, Benson will become the class of this rookie running back group. Rookies wear down if they are main cogs early, so guys like Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown will be non-factors by Week 12. Benson will start his ascension this week.
