About Football's weekly fantasy football stock report tracks fantasy players on the rise and those whose stock is falling.
On the Rise
Philip Rivers, QB San Diego - Head coach Marty Schottenheimer appears to be taking some of the restraints off the youngster and opening up the offense a little. Rivers isn't an every-week starter at this point, but could fill in during a bye week in certain situations... like this week against San Francisco.
Cedric Benson, RB Chicago - Thomas Jones will probably be the feature back all season, but Benson should start getting more touches now and even found the end zone a couple times last week.
Michael Turner, RB San Diego - Turner is averaging 6.8 yards per carry and had nearly as many touches as LaDainian Tomlinson last week.
Falling
Chad Johnson, WR Cincinnati - Hampered somewhat by a shoulder injury, Johnson has yet to catch a pass for more than 18 yards and has only found the end zone one time all season.
Jeremy Shockey, TE NY Giants - Over the last three games, Shockey has averaged just 2 receptions and 29 yards per game with no touchdowns. You might consider benching him if you have a viable option at backup... at least until his ankle and foot injuries heal.
Washington Redskins, DEF - The Redskins were supposed to have a solid defense again this year, but since week two, they've allowed an average of 23 points per game and just aren't making many big plays (sacks, turnovers).
