B.J. Raji Scouting Report:
As with most wide-bodied linemen, Raji is not a great pass rusher and he's a little inconsistent getting off the line. Sometimes he explodes into the backfield (like on this play), but at other times he doesn't seem to fire off the line. When he does get off the ball good, though, he is capable of collapsing the pocket up the middle.
Raji doesn't have ideal height either, but that shouldn't be a major concern. He uses his incredible strength to stand up blockers and holds the point of attack very well. He holds up adequately on double teams and does a good job of shedding blocks.
Raji is a prototypical NFL nose tackle and would be a perfect fit in the middle of a 3-4 set. However, he would be a very good fit as well on a four-man line.
