A year ago, many believed running back Ricky Williams would never play for the Miami Dolphins again and that his NFL career might, in fact, be over. His problems with the league's drug policy and a multi-million-dollar judgement against him have been highly publicized.
But not only was he given yet another chance, he was actually quite effective, posting a 4.1 yard-per-carry average. In a supplemental role to Ronnie Brown, Williams totaled 659 yards on 160 carries with four touchdowns.
