The St. Louis Rams suffered through a disastrous 2008 season, winning just two of their 16 games. And while injuries can be pointed to as a big factor in their pitiful showing, facts are, this is a team in need of being rebuilt from the ground up. And they seem to be going about things the right way, picking up some good young talent in the draft, especially early on. But I don't see where this team has brought in the players to improve significantly in the short run, so it could be another long season in St. Louis.
Paramount to the Rams' chances in 2009 is improvement of the offensive line along with finding some new playmakers at the wide receiver position as well as continued improvement on defense. Moves have been made over the past couple years to address those areas, though, and only time will tell if they pay off.
Throughout this gallery we look at some of the keys to the Rams' upcoming season along with the key players, acquisitions, and losses.
