Tavaris Jackson began and ended the season as the Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback. Injury and some early-season struggles led to his benching and the promotion of veteran Gus Frerotte to the starting role. As fate would have it, though, injury would give Jackson another shot toward the end of the season and he took full advantage of it.

After returning to the lineup for the final four games of the season, Jackson appeared to be a much more confident and effective signal caller. Over that stretch he posted a passer rating well over 100, and tossed eight touchdown passes to just one interception.

If Jackson continues to throw the ball so well, the Vikings suddenly become a very dangerous team. Not only has his play been an upgrade over what Frerotte brought to the table, but he's much more mobile and can hurt you with his legs when he gets outside the pocket.
